GRANNY'S KISSES
~ Byrdene Perkins, my grandmother
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Beat egg whites until stiff and dry. Beat in 6 T. sugar one at a time until peaks form. Beat in vanilla. Fold in chips with remaining sugar. Scoop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 40-50 minutes.
Makes about two dozen.

Ok... what do these taste like?? Very interesting recipe.
Kristal - The closest thing I can compare them to is meringue, but that's not exactly what they are. They must melt in your mouth.
