I love to eat. I also have a complete inability to wing it in the kitchen. These two facts have led me to collect lots of recipes from other people. PEPPERY CHEESE BREAD
~ Taste of Home - February/March 2009
2 1/2 c. flour
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 t. coarsely ground pepper
1 t. baking powder
3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. baking soda
2 eggs
1 c. plain yogurt
1/2 c. canola oil
1/4 c. milk
1 T. spicy brown mustard
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, yogurt, oil, milk and mustard. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in cheese and onions. Transfer to a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
Makes one loaf.
