~ Ruth Andrewson – Quick Cooking Collector’s Edition
1 batch of 30 meatballs
1 c. ketchup
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 – 1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/8 t. liquid smoke (optional)
6 sandwich rolls
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place meatballs into an ungreased 1-quart baking dish. Combine the next five ingredients; pour over meatballs. Cover and bake for 1 hour. Serve on rolls.
Notes: You can also serve the meatballs on toothpicks as an appetizer or at a potluck.

I made these a couple weeks ago and the family devoured them! Tonight I was making them and Was going to double the recipe but ran out of ketchup. Karis wanted me to double it so she agreed to go door to door until she found a neighbor home with 1/2 cup of ketchup. Double batch in the oven waiting to be devoured again!
