1 c. butter, melted
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2-3 c. peeled & chopped apples
1 c. walnuts (optional)
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 T. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, and eggs. Stir in apples and walnuts. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Notes: I only use one cup of sugar and skip the walnuts.

thanks, B - this looks great. Does it matter what kind of apples?
I think I'll make this for fellowship time after church -

I don't think it matters. I use Braeburns, simply because that's what's in the house.
That sounds really yummy.
