3/4 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
3 c. crushed graham crackers, about 18 whole
1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
8 milk chocolate bars, approximately 1 1/2 oz. each
3 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease 9x13-inch pan.

Beat butter and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in crushed graham crackers, flour, and salt. Reserve 1 cup of the graham cracker mixture and press remaining mixture over the bottom of prepared pan. Arrange chocolate bars, in a single layer, over graham cracker crust mixture in the pan. Sprinkle with marshmallows. Crumbled reserved graham cracker mixture over the marshmallows.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Cut into bars and cool completely. Makes about 2 dozen bars.

Notes: Sometimes we put all the graham cracker mixture in the bottom of the pan, rather than  sprinkling some on top, and it works just fine.  We forgot to pre-cut the bars once and realized it didn't matter.  They were easy to cut at room temperature and made less of a mess than trying to cut them when they were still hot and gooey.
